As a professional cafe connoisseur, I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to work with Google Maps and Local Guides to show you all my favorite locations in New York! I’ve been living in NY for almost 3 years now, and it’s so insane the number of cafes that I’ve went to for a coffee or matcha, to meet up with friends, to get work done or to even shoot at for a blog post. Either way, these cafes have become a second office to me, and I’m sure it’s the same for other bloggers and freelancers who are constantly looking for places in the city that just has such a cozy environment – making it so easy to get work done there.

Keeping It Plaid: Grey Turtleneck + Plaid Pants

As of late, I’ve been loving the plaid look. I recently purchased a pair of plaid pants that I’d been eyeing from boohoo.com, and was completely blown away by the amazing fit and feel of the piece. Firstly, for some reason I was expecting the pant to be a tad stiff but very fitted. To my disbelief the pants were SO comfy, making it easy for me to dress up with the feeling of being dressed down. I paired the plaid pants with a grey turtleneck – making sure to tuck this in to add a more sleek look. The accessories were very light, as I wanted to give all of the attention to my pants and the grey faux jacket that I was wearing with it. For my shoes, I decided to wear these cute black boots that I also purchased from boohoo.com. They’re not the most comfortable, but they definitely added the right amount of flare to the look.

I wore an over-sized burnt orange sweater that had flare sleeves. The sweater was super comfy, and I was able to slightly tuck it into my frilled denim jeans as well.
