I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Women in the World Summit about a week, and although I wasn’t able to attend all of the sessions – the ones I did attend were so amazing and inspirational. It’s very rare that you get to hear from people that you’ve admired since you were a little girl, but let’s just say I was able to check this goal off of my list.
Working a 9-5pm job, and still trying to maintain your side-hustle can be tough. I know I’m not the only one who wishes there were more hours in a day to fully complete everything on your to-do list. What I have learned is that throughout the rough hours and the constant workload, it’s extremely important to add in some time for self-care. If you aren’t taking care of yourself then it’s easy for you to self-destruct. Check out how I tend to unwind at the end of the day, and how implementing Moonlit Skincare has played a huge role in making sure I’m relaxed and at ease.
It’s finally summer! I’m happy for the summer clothes, but not for the summer heat. Luckily, the only thing that took my mind off of it was the fact that now I get to find some new pieces to add to my wardrobe. After a long day of work I headed to the Nordstorm Rack that was a few blocks down. Polka dots have been my “thing” for quite some time now, so it was no surprise that when I saw this navy and white polka dot ruffled shirt that I NEEDED it.

Hi beauties! Hope you had a fab weekend. I wanted to chat about something that is a constant uphill battle for me, but I’m slowly figuring out how to master it so I think I’m ready to share with you all what I’ve learned so far. Everyday there’s something that we worry or stress about. Something that keeps us up at night, but girl you have to learn to let it go. I’m the kind of person who thinks entirely too much and often times I let my thoughts get the best of me. Are you the same way? If so, keep reading for my top five key steps to living a carefree life and stop stressing for the better.
Last week, I woke up at 5:30am. Now, if you know me then you know that this is very rare. I’m the kind of person that loves to sleep as long as I possibly can, but I’ve come to understand that when I do that then I tend to feel: rushed, unorganized and flustered. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is something I truly needed to get better at. I’m always reading about the benefits of getting up early in the mornings and all of the things that people are able to get done, so I tested it myself. I woke up at 5:30am, chilled in bed for about 15 minutes to adjust and fully wake up, then it was go time!
Today is our third day in Paris, and I wanted to share with you guys my ootd! Due to the weather being gloomy and rainy, I decided to switch it up by wearing my classic high-top Vans to get me through the long walks from sight to sight. With my sneakers, I wore a black and white striped turtleneck from J. Crew and my favorite corduroy pink pants from Zara. Because of the cold, I couldn’t help but to layer up – wearing my black leather jacket and tan coat (both from Zara). For accessories, I wore my boyfriend’s corduroy black beret and my gold and black fringe purse from Urban Outfitters centuries ago.
The longer I’m on this Earth, the more I realize how easy it is to get sucked into negative vibes and energy from others. At first you don’t see how it’s truly affecting you, but over time (especially as you grow older), you start to notice. For me, it really hit in my mid-20’s. I started pin-pointing exactly where my negative energy was stemming from and told myself that I had to get rid of it and everything that was causing it. When you are holding vibes that don’t uplift and inspire you, it’s hard to progress and lead the lifestyle you want for yourself. Sure, this means getting rid of a few things you thought you needed, but that’s what growth in your 20s is all about! Keep reading for ways I dealt (currently deal) with negative energy from different factors of my life.
As it gets colder outside, I feel that it’s hard to balance being fashionable and yet staying warm at the same time. Luckily, I fell in love with this amazing puffer coat from River Island that helped me keep in line with my personal style, while also combating this New York winter! Although this coat is warm, what I fell in love with the most was the color. This muted pink vibe has definitely become my go-to as of late, which is so funny to me because normally my wardrobe doesn’t have much color. I find that recently I’m adding more pops of pink into my closet, and I don’t mind one bit!
As I sit in O’Hare airport, I can’t help but to think of everything that has happened in 2017. With only a few days left of the year, how could you not reflect? This year I pushed myself the best way I knew how, and the outcome was more than I expected. I reached new levels in my career, my personal life and with my blog. Sometimes we get so caught up in the everyday life that we forget to count our blessings and reflect on our accomplishments. Go has truly blessed me with some much, and I’m vey excited to see what he has in store for me next year. Keep reading to find out what I’m most grateful for, as well as what’s to come for 2018.
