Working full-time can really set you back on all of the activities you want to do. Whether it’s going to the beach or hanging with friends, sometimes when the weekend comes you honestly just want to sleep and do adult things like run errands. I’ve been working full-time for almost two months, and what I’ve learned is that if you don’t set out time to do the things you love you can fall victim to a routine lifestyle. You know, where you wake up, get dressed, go to work, go home, make dinner, sleep…REPEAT. I realized that I can’t be that person, and you shouldn’t be either!
I apologize in advance guys, but this week’s blog posts will be centered around my weekend in Houston, TX! Of course starting with a fashion post. For the past couple of weeks I’ve stumbled upon some amazing items that I just had to have, with this outfit being high up on my list.
I’ve always been into interior design and decorating for as long as I can remember. Coordinating is just really my thing — so when I was finally able to buy decor items for my new apartment I was quick to jump on it! I recently finished decorating my desk (semi since there are a few things that I would like to add), and I wanted to show you guys a preview of how it looks!
Life is only worth it when you go after everything you know you deserve. That’s what I told myself before boarding my flight to New York. Was I scared? Yes, beyond nervous for the new city that I was about to embark on, but I knew if I didn’t take a chance that I would definitely regret it.
Before moving, I found this letter that I wrote myself in high school. In the letter, I said that after college I hoped to start a new life in New York. Thinking back on that gave me even more fuel to take the leap. I officially made up my mind in March that I was going to go for it. I was graduating from graduate school in May, so I felt like June/July would be the best time to move. From that point on everything just started to fall in place. I found an apartment with great roommates, I landed my first ever full-time job as a Marketing Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY and for once everything was starting to make sense. I found more purpose and faith in my new-found journey.
Well, it’s been a month since my big move, and I’m so excited to share my journey with you all!
