Let’s talk about how obsessed I’ve been with anything corduroy lately. I mean, at first I was scared to admit this but now I’m letting the world know (aka you guys) how much I love this corduroy trend and how I hope it never goes away. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk…just kidding. But seriously, this has become one of my favorite fashion trends, as I have corduroy pants, dresses and hats at this point in my closet. Imagine my expression when I was just scrolling though Urban Outfitters site and saw this beautiful rust corduroy dress. I died.
Fall is HERE, and I’ve been waiting to unleash my fashion finds to show you all. First and for most, I’m obsessed with fall fashion more than any season and it’s been this way for as long as I could remember. I’ve just always been the type of girl who loves the comfy feels of warm sweaters and long boots.
If you’re anything like me, then you’re always on-the-go and looking for something comfy to wear wherever you’re going! I know that dressing comfy can’t be done all the time, but whenever it can be I definitely try to pull it off! With fall around the corner, I’ve been looking for items to add to my closet that are chic and comfortable at the same time. Especially those items that can really transform your look with a switch of a top or pant. Recently, I took at trip to ZARA to see what they had in store and ended up finding a few pieces that fit my style perfectly, while giving me that comfy chic look that I longed for. Check out my casual (yet semi-sporty) fall-inspired look for the everyday gal on the go.
Hi beauties! I’ve been so behind on the fashion posts lately, but I’m back with a bunch of new pieces from boohoo.com. I did a little Black Friday shopping, and really stepped out of my comfort-zone (you’ll see the other items in another post). The look that I wanted to go for was very chic, but edgy. I wore an over-sized burnt orange sweater that had flare sleeves. The sweater was super comfy, and I was able to slightly tuck it into my frilled denim jeans as well.
I don’t know about you guys, but it’s officially fall here in NYC. I know it’s been fall, but just here in New York last week it was like 80 degrees and now it’s cold and rainy. Yup, it’s pretty official now. With that being said, I’m excited to bring out my fall attire for good! Yes, that means a ton of sweaters, fur jackets and Chelsea boots. Although I have a few statement pieces, there are always items that are on my wish-list. After hearing from my best friend about how much she loves SheIn.com, I definitely had to check it out to see what kind of items would fit in my F/W wardrobe. Keep reading for my wish-list!
Just a few weeks ago, we were enjoying the last of this summer weather – then fall hit us like a ton of bricks in NYC. Wow, days of cold and rain. I can’t event begin to explain how shook I am from this dramatic weather change – but fall is actually my favorite season so I’m not too upset about it. With fall coming early, I think it’s safe to say it’s officially jacket season! A bomb jacket with an even bomber statement bag is my absolute weakness.
There’s so much more to life than what’s in front of you now…is what I’m trying to train myself to say everyday. The journey is made up of everything you’ve been through, everything you’ve survived and everything you’ve lived to tell. Over the past week, I’ve really thought about how far I’ve come as a person, as a woman…and I must say, I’m not completely where I want to be yet, but man am I really getting there! To become whole mentally, spiritually and physically is no easy task — it’s all about getting to know yourself, knowing your worth…and most times not taking no for an answer, especially in the situations where you know you deserve it all and then some.
This past weekend I went to Central Park with my roomie/friend Mya for a picnic with a few of her co-workers. This was my first time going to Central Park, and let me just say it looks exactly the way it’s displayed in the movies. It gives you fun, romantic vibes…especially with it being fall. There were so many people out enjoying the wonderful weather we had in NY. The weather didn’t last long FYI. Shortly after the beautiful 70 degree day there was a thunderstorm…but that’s neither here nor there.
I was able to capture the beauty a little bit, along with my picnic attire.
This past weekend was nothing short of amazing. I got to finally be a tourist in my new city, and explore every artsy part of New York I could find. I realized a lot this weekend…one of the things being that home isn’t necessarily a place. Home can be a person…home can be whatever makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Home is what you make it to be. This relates to so many aspects of life. Too often we get caught up in trying to label everything, but very seldom we reevaluate how it makes us feel.
It’s a lot like the seasons. Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate other things/pieces that make you feel good. On my trip to the Bronx to visit the Botanical Garden, I tapped into my balance: what makes me feel and how it makes me feel.
Guys! I can’t believe I missed a week of blogging — it’s been pretty hectic my way, as I am constantly brainstorming new content to give you all. Being a blogger always is a constant battle between quality and quantity. Sure, I can give you content every week, but will it be 100%? I always want to make sure it is, so I’m back and I’m better with some new fashion looks that I hope will brighten your day!
