Oversized Denim Jacket + High Knee Suede Boots

After the crazy snow storm in NY, the weather broke and we got a little bit of sunlight to peek through! With it being NYFW, there’s a lot of excitement in the city this weekend and it truly motivates me to go harder in my career. Honestly, one of my dreams is to be a part of NYFW, and I’m not letting go of that goal until it happens! But for now, I have to continue to push and have faith. So I went out to shoot in East Village with my roomie Mya, and we found so much amazing wall art that it was almost impossible to choose!

I’ll be honest with you guys, decisions have been hard for me this year. There are a lot of things that occur when you least expect it, and you have to decide whether or not you’re ready for the change or ready to take a leap of faith. I can honestly say that I’ve made really big decisions already this year. I’ve decided to love again, after being hurt and I’ve decided to pursue my dreams and leave a very comfortable but unhappy situation. No matter what you’re currently up against, it’s always your choice to move forward or let fear dictate your direction.

I know I got really deep on you guys, but it’s so important to be really decisive in your life, because chances come and go and you don’t want to miss out on such amazing opportunities. And being decisive can be as simple as deciding where you want to have your photoshoot…it’s the little steps that add to the bigger leaps!

Back to the outfit:

For this look I decided to remain chic and edgy (my fav). Of course I had to pair this look with my high knee boots by Steve Madden…because they literally go with everything! I kept the dress simple with a black t-shirt dress from American Apparel with an accented white collar. I threw on my denim over-sized distressed jacket from Forever 21, which has honestly become my favorite jacket besides my leather one! For a more edgy look, I put on my suede baseball cap from Necessary Clothing and wore my oversized black bag as well. You all know how much I love my chokers, so my suede choker from Akira Chicago was a no-brainer for me.
