My Top 5 Key Goals For 2019

Wow, is it me or does it feel like I just wrote out my goals for 2018 yesterday? I mean this year truly flew by, and I took the time out to reflect on all of the accomplishments I had as well as some things that I still need to work on. Can you believe that we’ll be entering 2019 in two days? Are you ready? Well, I know I am SO ready that I’ve prepared my top 5 goals for the new year that I wanted to share with you all!

When it comes to goal setting, I try to break them out into different categories:

  1. Personal
  2. Career
  3. Physical
  4. Financial
  5. Travel

Just to call out a few. For the most part, my personal goals have to do with my relationships and any other things that I hold close to me. The other categories are pretty self-explanatory, so I’ll just dive in!

GOAL #1 – Personal

This is a personal one, but now that Ben and I are settled in our Jersey apartment, I would really love for us to find a church to attend on Sundays. I have a church home in Chicago, but I have yet to find one that I attend regularly in NY or NJ. I would really love to make this a priority this year, and search for one that I can really relate to and call my home.

GOAL #2 – Financial

I would really love to pay off ALL my debt (with the exception of student loans because that would be impossible to do in one year). In addition to paying off my debt, I would like to build my savings. I’m thinking if I could save between 8-10k this year, I’d be pretty dare proud of myself!

GOAL #3 – Career

In addition to continuing to crush it in my 9-5 job, my main career goal is to grow my ventures outside of that, which are this blog (The Britney Diaries), HerStyle Media and The Female Millennial Podcast. I’m looking to have 6 events next year for HerStyle Media, while growing all of the platforms via social media. My goal for my personal social media @beelievedahype, is to get to 100k by the end of 2019. Do you think I can do it? I have a few other goals up my sleeve that will be revealed later on in the year. This is one of those “less talking, more doing” types of things.

GOAL #4 – Travel

I have SO many places I want to travel to next year, and here are some of them:

  • Arizona
  • Singapore
  • Los Angeles
  • London
  • New Orleans
  • Bali
  • Chicago (duh)

GOAL #5 – Physical

This goal isn’t just about being fit (although that is a part of it). I just want to be an overall more conscious consumer, meaning that I want to be aware of what I’m putting into my body and the different things that I’m consuming. I want to pay more attention to the foods I eat and how they affect my body. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ll be in my late 20’s soon or what, but this is definitely important to me for sure.
