The longer I’m on this Earth, the more I realize how easy it is to get sucked into negative vibes and energy from others. At first you don’t see how it’s truly affecting you, but over time (especially as you grow older), you start to notice. For me, it really hit in my mid-20’s. I started pin-pointing exactly where my negative energy was stemming from and told myself that I had to get rid of it and everything that was causing it. When you are holding vibes that don’t uplift and inspire you, it’s hard to progress and lead the lifestyle you want for yourself. Sure, this means getting rid of a few things you thought you needed, but that’s what growth in your 20s is all about! Keep reading for ways I dealt (currently deal) with negative energy from different factors of my life.
Negative Energy In “Friends”
I was reading an article on CNN the other day, and it said that your mid-20s is the age where you start losing friends.
The theory is that around this age, people begin to decide who is most important — and valuable — in their life and make a greater effort to hold on to those friends.“People become more focused on certain relationships and maintain those relationships,” said Kunal Bhattacharya, a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University who co-authored the study. “You have new family contacts developing, but your casual circle shrinks.”
“A toxic work environment is any that makes you feel uncomfortable, unappreciated, or undervalued. This can range from all out bullying, screaming and talked down to, to more subtle forms of poor communication, setting people up for failure, mismanagement and an air of hostility. It can come from your boss, your peers, your juniors and even your clients. No one should ever have to work in an environment that causes your stomach to go in quivers but the unfortunate reality is it’s more normal than we’d prefer. Often professionals ‘accept it’ as is, which can do more harm for you in the long-run, both professionally and also personally,” says Certified Professional Coach Lori Scherwin to Bustle over email.via Bustle
Humans are feeling and emitting beings, so there is always opportunity to share energy, both positive and negative. Be aware of when you pick up negative energy directly and trust that, at some point during the day, you probably picked some up indirectly. And then — do something internally to cleanse yourself that will allow you to expel from your mind, body, and heart what you are carrying.via HuffPost
