My First Month in NYC

Life is only worth it when you go after everything you know you deserve. That’s what I told myself before boarding my flight to New York. Was I scared? Yes, beyond nervous for the new city that I was about to embark on, but I knew if I didn’t take a chance that I would definitely regret it.

Flashbacks

Before moving, I found this letter that I wrote myself in high school. In the letter, I said that after college I hoped to start a new life in New York. Thinking back on that gave me even more fuel to take the leap. I officially made up my mind in March that I was going to go for it. I was graduating from graduate school in May, so I felt like June/July would be the best time to move. From that point on everything just started to fall in place. I found an apartment with great roommates, I landed my first ever full-time job as a Marketing Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY and for once everything was starting to make sense. I found more purpose and faith in my new-found journey.

Well, it’s been a month since my big move, and I’m so excited to share my journey with you all!

Finding the beauty

In my first month I experienced so much, and I captured it all through my lens. My neighborhood, the city views, the monumental landscapes…I wanted to feel every moment.

Self-Portraits

Building up to the launch of my blog, I took photos every chance I got (shoutout to my awesome roomie/friend Mya for taking these).

New Beginnings

I created this blog not only to display my new journey, but to let you into every aspect of my world. I hope you all enjoy and stay connected with me!
