Working full-time can really set you back on all of the activities you want to do. Whether it’s going to the beach or hanging with friends, sometimes when the weekend comes you honestly just want to sleep and do adult things like run errands. I’ve been working full-time for almost two months, and what I’ve learned is that if you don’t set out time to do the things you love you can fall victim to a routine lifestyle. You know, where you wake up, get dressed, go to work, go home, make dinner, sleep…REPEAT. I realized that I can’t be that person, and you shouldn’t be either!
Exploring New Things
Last weekend while in Houston, TX I was able to take my mind out of work mode and really get engulfed in my passion. Luckily, my favorite person was there to help me along the way. We went to museums, visited different landmarks and just allowed ourselves to be artistically free without judgment. It felt liberating.
It’s important to let loose sometimes, and remember who you are and what you’re setting out to do. Sometimes we can lose ourselves when going through the motions of life. It’s okay, as long as you always find your way back.
Check out photos from my trip below, along with a few places you should visit to explore your artsy interest(s) while in Houston, TX.
